SOLAR ROCKER MAX 

When we started seeing SOLAR ROCKER being used to clean large SOLAR FARMS, we investigated a little further and we found that there are a lot of farms that are using solar panels much bigger than the standard 65” x 39” panels.  So, to maximize their efficiency, we have released SOLAR ROCKER MAX at a massive 26” WIDE. 

MAX SOLAR PANEL CLEANING TECHNIQUE

The fastest way to clean a solar panel array is to have a preset action plan by the workers with no variations. The following are the recommendations : 

1.  Clean the full length of the solar panel in every stroke. This reduces ‘slow-down-and-stop’ time which happens every time you change direction.  The 26 jets should be on the lower side of the brush, ensuring maximum water is UNDER the brush for the downstroke to PULL the dirty water off the panel.  The 8 jets above the brush are simply there to provide water as a surfactant under the brush for the upstroke.  Most Window Cleaning brushes used for solar panels are ‘pushing sh#t uphill’ and spending too long in attempting a successful rinse. 

2.  Using the best matched SCRUB for the debris to be removed, or for ARC treatment, clean the left side of the panel following the left frame , then clean the right side of the panel following the right frame such that your SOLAR ROCKER is the correct width to overlap in the middle.  Ideally, it is 2 strokes left, 2 strokes right and move to the next panel. 

3.  After the panels are dry, QC Supervisor examines the panel and completes any spot cleaning with his own small tool.  As 98-99% of the clean is effected by (say) 2 passes on the panel, maximum efficiency is achieved by standardizing the ‘norm’ and treating the ‘exception’ separately.  Remember all panels look amazing wet, so QC must be on dry panels. 

Using this technique, it is well reasonable to clean solar farm panels in less than 10 seconds per panel - 360 panels per hour. 

ACCESSORIES 

SOLAR ROCKER MAX comes with a standard gooseneck we call PIVOT, and an aluminum PIVOT LOCK if you do not want the swivel (albeit it does help ‘steer the brush’ in the upstroke.  This gooseneck attaches to all known angle adaptors from other brand poles at the 40TEETH fitting. 

Additional extension GOOSENECKS are included that fit REACH-iT WARRIOR (recommended for cleaning from the ground),  REACH-iT TRAD12 (recommended for cleaning from the roof apex), and all REACH-iT poles.  One gooseneck is oriented for working from the ground, below the panel ; and the other gooseneck is oriented for working on the roof from above the panel.   These goosenecks are not critical, they just help with ergonomics.
Note:  Both WARRIOR and TRAD12 have KEVLAR SHOCKSTOP handles to minimize the risk of operator electrocution and likely death. 


SCRUBS

SOLAR ROCKER MAX is supplied with the following SCRUBS with the knowledge that other than dust, most debris on solar panels is not easily removed with simply nylon bristles and pure water :  

SILICON BRISTLES : Highly grippy and yet non-abrasive  - silicon bristles are the softest possible agitator for solar panels treated with ARC coating.  Note : scratching and damaging ARC coatings can lead to ‘hot-spot wafers’ that ultimately fail and eliminate the panel and the array from adding to the solar gain. 

NON-SCRATCH, CARBORUNDUM, BLUE METAL, CHEESEGRATER, and STAINLESS STEEL WOOL :  These SCRUBS are ‘cutting or scraping’ style agitators and will not damage normal glass.  These are great when you need to actually CUT debris from the solar panel surface. 

GREEN RUBBER, MAGIC ERASER, MICROFIBER and TOM CAT are all grippy (high surface tension) SCRUBS that can remove debris from the solar panel surface that is more waxy like bee, bat and seagull poo.
